Real feedback from leading media on the HBADA X7

“The X7 throws just about every comfort feature you can think of into one chair. The standout is a smart lumbar support that actively adapts to your position, so you don’t have to constantly adjust the chair yourself.”

CNET

“All of this extra tech powers the HBADA X7’s AI lumbar-tracking but it can also warm you up, cool you down and even give you a massage to help alleviate back pain and fatigue so you can comfortably extend your workday — or a marathon gaming session — even longer.”

Tom’s Guide

“The Hbada X7 is one of the most over-the-top office chairs that I have ever tested. It’s meant to be comfy, feature-packed, and loaded with goodies. The cooling is fantastic, the heating is great, the massaging actually feels good, and the leg rest helps you enjoy it that much more.”

TechRadar

“The HBADA X7 smart ergonomic chair isn’t just a place to sit; it’s an active intervention. It’s the first chair I’ve used that feels like it’s actually hunting for my slouch and correcting it before the inevitable 2:00 PM ache sets in.”

„Der Hbada X7 Smart Ergonomic Chair wurde genau für diesen Anspruch entwickelt: als TÜV-zertifiziertes, KI-gestütztes Ergonomie-System, das die Unterstützung im Rückenbereich dynamisch anpasst.“

In English: “The Hbada X7 Smart Ergonomic Chair was developed for exactly this demand: as a TÜV-certified, AI-assisted ergonomic system that dynamically adapts the support for your back.”

“The HBADA X7 Smart Ergonomic Chair is engineered specifically for ‘The WFH Elite’ – including programmers, digital marketers, designers, and executives – as well as hardcore gamers who can spend eight, 10, or even 12 hours a day sitting.”

New Atlas

“The X7 is built around an AI lumbar tracking system that uses pressure sensors in the lumbar pad, a smart chip that reads them, and small motors that physically push the lumbar support forward or pull it back as your posture shifts. That’s the headline, and it’s the first mechanism I’ve tested in this category that does what the marketing claims.”

User Guide

Backrest height: the backrest height adjustment uses a cyclic ratchet mechanism. It cannot be lowered directly from a middle position. To lower it, first raise it to the highest point to unlock the mechanism, and then push it all the way down. This is a normal design feature, not a product defect.

Lumbar support height: the lumbar support features a cyclic ratchet mechanism. It cannot be lowered directly from a middle position. To lower it, simply raise it to the highest point first to unlock the mechanism, and then push it all the way down. This is a normal design feature, not a product defect.

Product details

The HBADA X7 Smart Ergonomic Chair is built around one idea: lumbar support that follows you. Pressure sensors in the lumbar pad read your posture, a smart chip processes that data in real time, and a precision linear motor moves the support forward or back as you sit up, lean in or recline. HBADA calls it the world’s first AI lumbar-tracking ergonomic chair, co-developed with medical doctors of the American ICA Chiropractic Association. Around that system sit 8D bionic massage, an actively cooled seat, graphene lumbar heating with red-light therapy, a 4D headrest, 720° armrests and a pull-out footrest, all run from a handheld remote and a rechargeable battery.

  • AI lumbar tracking with 10 intensity levels, 50 mm of powered front–back travel, 45 mm of manual height adjustment and 10° of auto-adapt
  • 8D dual-core bionic massage that extends while you use it and retracts afterwards
  • Active seat cooling: dual 3,000 RPM fans and three airflow modes through a micro-perforated seat
  • Graphene lumbar heating with red-light therapy
  • 4D dual-axis headrest, 720° armrests, built-in footrest and four recline positions from 105° to 140°
  • Reinforced aluminium alloy backrest frame; suits users 150–195 cm tall and up to 150 kg; tested to BIFMA X5.1

Available in Grey and Black. Sit-test the X7 at our Sydney or Melbourne showroom.

Key features

AI lumbar tracking. Most lumbar supports are set once and left there, so they stop touching your back the moment you shift. The X7’s lumbar pad senses your weight and the curve of your lower back, then a millimetre-level linear motor keeps it in contact as you move — no knobs to reach for. Ten intensity levels set how closely it follows you, from a light touch to firm, continuous support.

3-zone floating wings. The lumbar pad is flanked by two floating wings that wrap the erector spinae and quadratus lumborum, the muscles either side of the lower spine, so support comes from the sides as well as from behind.

8D bionic massage. Two kneading heads inside the lumbar pad mimic the pressure of hands rather than vibrating. They extend for a deep back massage when switched on and retract when the session ends, so they never press into your back while you work.

Active cooling seat. Two 3,000 RPM centrifugal fans under the seat draw body heat out through a micro-perforated cushion, with three airflow modes to choose from — useful through an Australian summer in a home office without air-conditioning.

Graphene heating and red-light therapy. A graphene heating layer warms the lower back, paired with red-light therapy, for cooler mornings and for winding down after a long session. HBADA notes the massage, heating and cooling are comfort features, not medical treatments.

Adjustability

  • Headrest: 4D dual-axis, with 70° rotation, 45 mm of height adjustment and 55 mm of front–back travel
  • Armrests: 720° system — 360° rotation, 20° flip, 110 mm front–back and 50 mm height adjustment
  • Seat depth: 50 mm of travel, from 40.5 to 45.5 cm
  • Seat height: 8.5 cm of travel, from 44.5 to 53 cm
  • Recline: 105° for focused upright work, 116° for all-day comfort, 128° for a break and 140° for full rest
  • Footrest: pulls out from under the seat when you recline and slides away when you get back to work

To set up the X7, adjust the seat height so your feet sit flat and your knees are level with your hips, then slide the seat so there is a small gap behind your knees. Turn lumbar tracking on and choose an intensity, bring the armrests up to elbow height, and set the headrest last, ideally while reclined.

Comfort and materials

The seat uses HBADA’s cloud mesh surface over a ventilated cushion, designed to stay breathable through long days at the desk. The backrest frame is a reinforced aerospace-grade aluminium alloy, which HBADA chose for rigidity, stability and long-term durability under daily intensive use, and the chair rolls on a five-star base with five casters.

Every function runs from a handheld remote with buttons for On/Off, Smart Track, Hot Compress, Bionic Massage, Cloud Ventilation and Lumbar Support front–back. Power comes from a removable rechargeable battery, charged with the included adapter, so there is no cable running to the wall while you sit.

HBADA tests the X7 to the BIFMA X5.1 standard: 100,000 backrest recline cycles, 600,000 armrest cycles, 120,000 gas lift cycles and 120,000 rotation cycles, for an intended 10-year service life in individual use. Actual lifespan varies with user weight, frequency of use, maintenance and environment.

What’s in the box

Backrest, headrest, seat cushion, two armrests, gas cylinder, five-star base, five casters, battery, power adapter, a screwdriver (A1), an Allen key (A2) and three screw sets (B ×6, C ×3, D ×5). The X7 arrives mostly built: you attach the base, seat and backrest, and HBADA’s installation and usage videos are in the brand story above.

Two adjustments use a cyclic ratchet: the backrest height and the lumbar support height can’t be lowered from a middle position. Raise either one to its highest point to unlock it, then push it all the way down. This is a normal design feature, not a fault.

FAQs

Does the HBADA X7 help with back pain?

The X7 is designed to ease lower-back discomfort from long sitting by combining lumbar support that tracks your posture with bionic massage and lumbar heating. These are comfort features, not medical treatments, and regular breaks and movement still matter.

What is AI lumbar tracking?

Sensors in the lumbar pad detect changes in the position of your lower back, a smart chip processes them in real time, and a linear motor moves the support forward or back so it stays in contact as you lean, sit upright or recline. You choose from 10 intensity levels.

Does the X7 have massage, heating and cooling?

Yes. It has 8D dual-core bionic massage, graphene lumbar heating with red-light therapy, and an actively cooled seat with two 3,000 RPM fans and three airflow modes.

Is the HBADA X7 suitable for tall users?

HBADA recommends it for users between 150 and 195 cm tall and up to 150 kg. The adjustable seat height and depth, 4D headrest and 720° armrests let taller users fine-tune the fit.

What are the X7’s dimensions and weight?

The chair measures 70 cm wide and 70 cm deep at the base and 105–135 cm tall depending on seat and headrest height. It weighs approximately 38 kg.

What is the difference between the Grey and Black X7?

Only the finish. Both colours have the same smart functions, massage, heating, cooling and ergonomic adjustments.

Why won’t the backrest or lumbar support go down?

Both use a cyclic ratchet. Raise the backrest or lumbar support to its highest point to unlock the mechanism, then push it all the way down to reset it.
