Product details
The LiberNovo Maxis is LiberNovo’s big-and-tall dynamic ergonomic chair — the first in the range engineered from the ground up for users around 178–200 cm and rated to 181 kg on a BIFMA-certified reinforced frame. In Australia it comes in two configurations, both on this page: the fully mechanical Maxis Manual and the top-spec Maxis Airflow.
- 52 cm ultra-deep seat platform for longer femurs; 63 cm backrest scaled to a taller spine
- 6-spring Controlled Recline System with five positions — 105°, 115°, 125°, 135° and 160°
- Bionic FlexFit backrest (eight flexible panels) and a Dynamic Support System with up to 60 precision joints
- U-shaped headrest with 140 mm vertical and 120 mm horizontal travel; aluminium-alloy base with 360° swivel casters
- Greenguard Gold certified, with a 5-year frame warranty (extendable to 6)
Aussie Chair is the official authorised LiberNovo dealer in Australia. Sit-test LiberNovo chairs at our Sydney (South Granville) or Melbourne (Nunawading) showroom; delivered across Australia and New Zealand.
Who the Maxis is for
Most ergonomic chairs — including the Omni — are designed around a user somewhere between 155 and 186 cm. If you are taller than that, the seat is too shallow for your thighs, the backrest stops below your shoulder blades and the headrest never quite reaches your head. The Maxis fixes all three with a 52 cm seat, a 63 cm backrest and a headrest with 140 mm of vertical travel, and it does it without losing the thing LiberNovo chairs are known for: the eight-panel backrest that flexes with your spine as you move. It is also the LiberNovo for heavier users, rated to 181 kg against the Omni's 136 kg.
Under about 175 cm the Maxis will feel oversized — the seat is deep enough that the front edge may press behind the knee. In that case the Omni or Omni Pro is the right chair. Both are on the floor next to the Maxis in Sydney and Melbourne, so you can settle it in a few minutes.
Maxis Manual vs Maxis Airflow
| Maxis Manual | Maxis Airflow | |
|---|---|---|
| Lumbar | Manual adjustment, no motor | Motorised lumbar with OmniStretch cycle |
| Seat ventilation | None | Active AirFlow — centrifugal fan circulating air through the seat cushion |
| Upholstery | Standard LiberNovo fabric | Gabriel Atlantic (Danish contract fabric) |
| Battery and electronics | None — nothing to charge | Rechargeable, USB-C; 2-year electronics warranty |
| Colours | Graphite | Graphite, Glacier |
The frame, seat platform, backrest, recline system, headrest and base are identical. Choose the Airflow if you run warm in long sessions or want the powered lumbar and stretch cycle; choose the Manual if you want a big chair with no powered parts at all. Our Maxis review and Maxis vs Omni Pro comparison go deeper, and Maxis for big and tall users covers the fit question in detail.

Bundles and accessories
- Basic Bundle — the chair with headrest and armrests.

- StepSync Mat for timber floors; the CloudSoft cover set is made in a Maxis size.
Worth knowing
The Maxis is a large chair: allow for the 63 cm backrest and the spine that projects behind it when you plan the space behind your desk, and expect assembly to take longer than an ordinary office chair — around 40 minutes, or ask us to assemble it when you collect from a showroom. The Airflow's fan is the main draw on the battery, so on high you will charge more often than with the lumbar motor alone.
Warranty and delivery
Current pricing for the Maxis Manual, the Maxis Airflow and the Standard Bundle with footrest is shown above on this page. LiberNovo covers the frame for five years (extendable to six) and the Airflow's electronics for two, and every claim is handled by Aussie Chair in Australia with parts held locally. Stock is held in Australia and ships Australia-wide and to New Zealand; pickup from both showrooms.
FAQ
How tall do you need to be for the LiberNovo Maxis?
It is designed for users around 178–200 cm. Below about 175 cm the 52 cm seat is usually too deep; the Omni or Omni Pro fits better.
What is the weight limit of the Maxis?
181 kg on a BIFMA-certified reinforced frame — against 136 kg for the Omni.
What is the difference between Maxis Manual and Maxis Airflow?
The Manual has a mechanical lumbar and no electronics. The Airflow adds a motorised lumbar with the OmniStretch cycle, Active AirFlow seat ventilation and Gabriel Atlantic fabric. Frame, seat, backrest, recline and headrest are the same.
What warranty does the Maxis have?
Five years on the frame (extendable to six) and, on the Airflow, two years on the electronics. Aussie Chair is an authorised LiberNovo dealer and handles every claim in Australia.
Does the Maxis come assembled?
It ships partly assembled. Allow around 40 minutes with the included tools, or ask us to assemble it when you collect from a showroom.
Can I try the Maxis before buying?
Yes. Both the Manual and the Airflow are on the floor at our Sydney and Melbourne showrooms, next to the Omni so you can compare the fit.
