Breaks up long static sits. Your hips and lower back keep gently moving, like sitting on a yoga ball, so your core stays engaged as you sit.

6° is the lower back’s natural side-bend range. Each lumbar segment flexes 5–6°. Too little won’t engage your core; too much pushes past your spine’s comfortable range.

Keeps you moving

Helps you sit tall
Your posture shifts on its own to help you keep a neutral spine, and sitting taller spreads the load across your lower back.

Product details

The UE FLOW 660 Pro is the top of UE's Flow range: an ergonomic office chair built around the Taiji™ dynamic lumbar system. As you shift your weight, the seat sways gently through about 6°, so your lower back stays supported while your body keeps moving instead of locking into one position for hours.

Around that sits everything that makes it a work-and-rest chair: Magic™ armrests that fold into a small desk, a Zero™ wrap-around headrest, a Float™ lumbar pillow, a smooth 100°–150° recline that locks at any angle and an extra-wide flip-out footrest. Available in Grey or Black.

  • Taiji™ dynamic lumbar system: 6° micro-sway on the Core4U™ 4.0 mechanism
  • Flow™ concentric lumbar support that follows you from upright to a 150° recline
  • 100°–150° synchro recline that locks at any angle, with two-step tension for lighter or heavier users
  • Magic™ armrests that slide, lift, rotate and fold into a mini desk or tablet stand
  • Zero™ 3D headrest, Float™ 15° lumbar pillow and MAX extra-wide footrest
  • 4-position backrest height for users from 155 to 190 cm; one-touch seat depth and height
  • AeroX™ aluminium alloy frame, polished aluminium base and an SHS Class 4 gas lift (TÜV Rheinland certified, BIFMA tested)

Delivered Australia-wide by Aussie Chair.

The Taiji dynamic lumbar system

Most ergonomic chairs hold you still in a good position. The FLOW 660 Pro is designed to keep you moving within one. Under the seat, UE's Core4U™ 4.0 mechanism responds to small shifts in your centre of gravity and lets the seat sway sideways by up to 6°, while the backrest keeps your lower back supported. Your posture changes on its own through the day, which breaks up long, static sits — UE compares it to sitting on an exercise ball, with a backrest that still has your back.

Why 6°? A single segment of the lower spine naturally bends sideways by roughly 5–6°. UE sized the sway to that range: enough movement to keep your core gently active, without asking your spine to bend further than it naturally does.

Recline and lumbar support

The Flow™ lumbar support moves on an arc centred on your waist, so it stays in contact with your lower back whether you are sitting upright to type, leaning back on a call or lying back for a break. The seat and backrest recline together from 100° to 150° without touching a lever, and the chair holds any angle you stop at.

Recline tension has two quick settings: turn the knob anticlockwise for a lighter recline (UE's guide is about 45 kg) or clockwise for firmer support (about 100 kg). The Float™ lumbar pillow adds a wide, 15° wrap-around pad that spreads pressure across the lower back rather than pressing on one point.

Magic desk armrests

The Magic™ armrests adjust five ways: they slide forward and back, move up and down, rotate backwards, turn through 360° and fold out into a small desk surface. Folded out, they hold a laptop while you lean back; turned up, they become a stand for a tablet or phone so you're not holding it at arm's length. The large pads support your elbows in any position.

Headrest, seat and footrest

The Zero™ headrest has a double-curved, wrap-around shape that spreads pressure across the back of the neck. It adjusts in height and on two rotation axes, so it can sit under your head whether you're upright or fully reclined.

The seat is woven polyester over one-piece moulded foam on a rigid shell. The foam is moulded in a single piece with a wave-shaped surface and no glue between layers, so it springs straight back and has no adhesive smell. Under the seat, the MAX extra-wide mesh footrest flips out in one movement for lying back with your legs up, and the five-star base has built-in foot rests for when you want to tuck your feet in.

Fit and adjustment

The backrest has four height positions across 5 cm, which UE rates for users from 155 cm to 190 cm. Seat height adjusts by 8 cm (46.5–54.5 cm) and seat depth by 6 cm, both from one-touch levers beside the seat. Set the seat height so your feet are flat, bring the seat depth in until there's a small gap behind your knees, then raise the backrest until the lumbar support sits in the curve of your lower back.

Build and materials

The back is held by UE's AeroX™ aluminium alloy frame (lighter, steadier, stronger) with a polished aluminium back support and WINTEX mesh from Korea. The gas lift is an SHS (Korea) Class 4 unit, TÜV Rheinland safety certified and BIFMA tested, and the chair stands on a polished aluminium five-star base with quiet PU castors that are kind to hard floors. UE quality-tests the FLOW 660 Pro in its own CNAS-accredited laboratory.

Grey or Black?

Same chair, two finishes. Grey pairs a light grey frame, mesh and seat with grey castors, and looks lighter in a bright home office. Black pairs a black frame, mesh and seat with black castors for a classic office look. Both have the polished aluminium back support and five-star base.

FAQs

What height range does the UE FLOW 660 Pro suit?

UE rates it for users from 155 cm to 190 cm. The backrest has four height positions, the seat height adjusts from 46.5 to 54.5 cm and the seat depth by 6 cm.

What does the Taiji dynamic lumbar system do?

The Core4U™ 4.0 mechanism lets the seat sway sideways by up to 6° as your weight shifts, while the Flow™ lumbar support keeps your lower back supported. The aim is a chair that keeps you gently moving rather than holding you still all day.

How far does it recline?

From 100° to 150°. The seat and backrest move together, the chair locks at any angle you stop at, and the recline tension has a lighter and a firmer setting.

Can the armrests really be used as a desk?

Yes. The Magic™ armrests fold out into a small desk surface that holds a laptop, or turn up to hold a tablet or phone. They also slide, adjust in height and rotate for normal desk work.

Does it have a footrest?

Yes. The MAX extra-wide mesh footrest flips out from under the seat, so you can recline with your legs up, and folds away when you're working.

Is the seat mesh or foam?

The backrest is WINTEX mesh; the seat is woven polyester over one-piece moulded foam, which gives a firmer, cushioned feel than a mesh seat.
