Product details

The Herman Miller Embody Gaming Chair is the Embody re-engineered with Logitech G for people who sit for long, continuous stretches. It is the chair searched for as the Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody, the Logitech G Embody, the Herman Miller Logitech chair or simply the Herman Miller gaming chair — there is one such chair, and this is it. It suits gamers, streamers, traders, editors and anyone who holds a fixed forward posture for four or more hours at a time rather than moving between meetings.

Underneath the upholstery it is a genuine Embody, which is what separates it from most seating sold as gaming chairs. The back is a pixelated support system: rows of independent pixels carried on a flexible spine and rib structure, each moving on its own as you shift. Rather than a few pressure points where a moulded shell meets your back, load spreads across the whole matrix. That matters most in a long session, because the support follows you when you lean forward into a screen — the posture a bucket-seat racing chair actively fights. Backfit adjustment sets the backrest curve to your own spine, and the narrow back leaves your shoulders and arms free to move.

What Logitech G changed is narrower than the marketing suggests, and worth knowing before you choose between this and the office Embody. The seat gains an extra layer of copper-infused cooling foam above the standard four-layer suspension seat, which makes it softer underneath you and helps shed the heat that builds up over a long sit. The upholstery is Sync fabric (100% polyester) in gaming colourways instead of the fabrics offered on the office chair. The frame, the pixelated back, Backfit, the tilt and the arm adjustment are the same on both. So the honest guidance is: take the Gaming Embody for the softer, cooler seat and the colours, and the standard Embody if you prefer a firmer seat and a plainer finish for an office. Ergonomically they are the same chair.

  • Seat height: 40.6–52.1 cm
  • Seat depth: adjustable 38.1–45.7 cm
  • Overall size: 114.3 cm high, 74.9 cm wide, 73.7 cm deep
  • Weight capacity: 136 kg; chair weight approximately 23.5 kg
  • Seat construction: four layers of elastic suspension and independently moving support coils, plus the copper-infused cooling foam layer
  • Frame: die-cast aluminium frame and five-star base; arm height and width adjustable
  • Warranty: 12 years
  • Colourways: Black & White, Black & Cyan, Amethyst & White, Galaxy & White, Nightfall & Nova

The chair ships without a headrest. The Atlas headrest for the Embody Gaming Chair, which we also stock, is the purpose-built answer: it bolts on with no drilling, is upholstered in the same heathered Sync fabric as the chair, adjusts 10.2–34.3 cm above the frame and 7.6–20.3 cm in depth, and fitting it does not void the Herman Miller warranty. Add it if you game or stream reclined. Skip it if you sit upright and forward, where a headrest mostly gets in the way.

Aussie Chair is an official authorised Herman Miller dealer. The Embody Gaming Chair is one of the few chairs where sitting in it decides the purchase — the seat feel divides people and no photograph settles it. Try it at our Sydney (South Granville) or Melbourne (Nunawading) showroom.
